CCTV Level Two

The Level 2 Award in CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance) (QCF) is a programme designed to meet the needs of learners who require a qualification which will enable them to apply for a Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence for operating CCTV for public space surveillance. This provides the learner with the knowledge and understanding to ensure the provision of a professional level of service as a CCTV operative; and to address the licensing requirements in the SIA regulated, operational environment.

• Develop the learner’s understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a CCTV operator and other CCTV staff
• Provide the learner with knowledge and skills to operate CCTV equipment and carry out surveillance techniques
• Develop the learner’s knowledge of health and safety in the workplace including awareness of emergency procedures
• Provide the learner with knowledge of legislation, codes of practice, operational procedures and guidelines applicable to the use of CCTV forpublic space surveillance
• Enable the learner to implement effective methods of communication in a control room environment
• Ensure that the learner understands how CCTV imagery may be presented as evidence
• Candidates can complete the qualification in four days

This course has online Pre-Course learning.  As the online modules form part of the syllabus, they MUST be completed prior to attending. You will need to log onto our portal at www.elite-awards.co.uk, and create an account.  This account will only be approved upon confirmation of your booking, and payment received.  The only exception to this is if your booking is via one of our Preferred Partnership Scheme members.

Any candidate not completing the mandatory modules will NOT be able to attend the course.
